Deep understanding of the nature of the business or company is imperative for a designer to fully grasp the designing requirements. Religious logos and other institution related to spirituality are conservative and tend to rely mostly on the simplicity of the design. The first thing that the logo designer should keep in mind is not to create a design or a symbol that would offend the congregation and the believers.
Images used in Religious Logos – The utilization of the cross and some angelic symbols are common in religious logos. The strong symbolization of spirituality and heavenly faith should always be present. Also, symbols of peace and serenity with white dove or palm leaves are common. However, in order to further emphasize the strong Christian faith, some religious logos use the Host and Eucharist.
Colors among Religious Logos – Strong colors such as red, yellow and green are being used in religious logos. The most prominent ones are white, green and red. These colors signify peace, harmony and spiritual healing among the believers. Others would prefer light colored logos in pale shades to signify simplicity and minimalism.
Fonts for religious Logos – Formal fonts such as Times New Roman and Corsiva are among the most popular choice for religious logos. Other designers would alter the fonts to give emphasis and complete the effect they want to project in the logo.
