Different logos are used for varied reasons but it focuses entirely on portraying the business and its product in an open market to show the integrity and distinction of the company it represents. Most companies have their standard logo and a special logo used for special events and dealings for different seasons. For example, there is a certain logo used for during summer or Christmas holiday, Halloween or Valentine’s Day. I’m sure you’re all familiar with the Coca-Cola advertisement during Christmas season where a Santa hat would often appear before the logo of the drink. This is called the seasonal logo that would appear in time for the season.
Logo design is the most important aspect of logo making. Special logos should well represent the event it is designed for. A lousy designed logo will fail to attract people’s attention during the season no matter how the font and the color fares. The value of the special logos is its ability to carry the occasion it is representing, giving off fresh look and invigorated feeling.
The Colors – Special design as mentioned above, were designed according to a special event, season or occasion. The color of these logos should perfectly match the season. The color combination should be catchy and timely. Red or pink for valentine’s day or red and green for Christmas. These colors suggest the presence of the occasion and should be utilized well. Be aware of the proper arrangement, composition and color combination lest you want to ruin the standard look of the logo.
Images – Just like colors, images are extremely valuable in a logo. If you are to tweak your logo to fit the Halloween season, it is always a known fact that there should be an image or images that have got to do with Halloween. Of course, you have to design your logo in such a way that it harmonize with the occasion, the emphasis should be the promotion of your business for the event. In that way your logo will become dynamic and suits well with the changing season.
Fonts – Fonts are equally important for special logos. Fonts should be easily read and comprehensible and not overly stylish. There is a tendency for a designer to go overboard in doing the font style, which could result confusion in comprehending the fonts. If this is the case, the message would be defeated and the purpose of the logo to further step up the promotional campaign is overpowered.
