The difference between corporate identity design and corporate logo design – Corporate logo design is the physical manifestation of the quality and benchmark of a business. It sends out instant recognition to the consumers out there, as well as their expectation on the product itself. It could be as simple as a cup of coffee in graphic form or a variety of shapes that represents an object. Suffice to say, it is the wordless representation of the company but it does not serve as a corporate identity for the company as a whole.
Companies often have more than one logo scheme; it may be similar in style and color and used in different occasions and functions. Company identity on the other hand gives an idea about the nature of the company it includes the logo, the name, the color scheme and the tag line.
The design of the corporate identity should always be similar to that of company logo, especially if it is being used in the advertisement campaign. It is somewhat a fresh version of the logo along with additional elements that is used exclusively for advertising that is why a brief description or tag line is incorporated.
